Allans Track is an intermediate level hike that takes approximately two hours to complete, covering a distance of around 5km. The track starts from Te Wanahu Flat car park and heads up a steep climb through dense native bush. After 15 minutes you will reach the junction with Ackland Falls Track, it takes about 15 minutes from this junction down to the falls which are small but beatuiful, returning the same way to pick up Allans Track again.

The sheer size of the tree is awe-inspiring, and it's a fantastic opportunity to see one of nature's most magnificent creations up close.
